Giving Back

At Purvey’d, we believe that fresh, nutritious food should be accessible to everyone, not a privilege for a few. Our Community Outreach program sits at the intersection of sustainability and social good, actively fighting food insecurity across New York City by bridging the gap between local farms and underserved neighborhoods. By rescuing surplus and "seconds"—perfectly healthy produce that might otherwise go to waste due to minor aesthetic imperfections—we support our farmers’ livelihoods while providing high-quality fruits, leafy greens, and specialty Asian vegetables to those who need them most. To date, we have proudly distributed over 300,000 lbs of fresh food from our Queens warehouse, and we remain dedicated to growing this impact alongside our community partners.
